Art Biography   July 8, 2016

Madelyn has been drawing and painting since childhood. She received an AA in Fine Art, Summa cum Laud from NVCC.  She also studied painting at the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia and with a Japanese master oil painter while living in Japan.

She was involved as a substitute art teacher in local schools and tutored Drawing and Art History at NVCC.  She also conducted the Christ Chapel Academy Art Club at Christ Chapel.

Madelyn attends workshops to hone her skills. Active for over 30 years in the Prince William Art Society as secretary, publicity and currently is historian of the club. She is a representational artist and works with oils, acrylics, colored pencil, and pen and ink. Her subjects include pet portraits, wild life, floral, local historical sites; scenes from her travels and all of God's nature.
